Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Summit (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Summit is a student productivity app that integrates with Canvas LMS to surface assignment deadlines, track locked tasks, and deliver smart reminders. The Service is currently in beta.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Summit. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Accounts and Waitlist

When you join the Summit waitlist, you provide your email address. You are responsible for ensuring the email address you provide is accurate. We will use it only to communicate about Summit as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble Summit
• Submit false information (including fake email addresses) to the waitlist
• Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service
• Interfere with the security or integrity of the Service

6. Canvas Integration

Summit connects to Canvas LMS using read-only OAuth authorization. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to authorize Summit to access your institution's Canvas account. Summit is not affiliated with or endorsed by Instructure, Inc. (the maker of Canvas).

Summit's ability to access Canvas data depends on APIs provided by your institution's Canvas instance. We are not responsible for changes to Canvas that affect Summit's functionality.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code within Summit are owned by Summit and its creators. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent. Your Canvas data remains yours.

8. Disclaimers

Summit is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Assignment data synced from Canvas will always be accurate or complete
• Reminders will be delivered on time in all circumstances

Always verify important deadlines directly in Canvas.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Summit and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to missed assignments or academic consequences.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may unsubscribe from the waitlist at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or by posting a notice on our site. Your continued use of the Service after changes are effective constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Summit operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
